Baptism

Dear Lord 
Thank you for drawing ____ to Yourself in baptism, 
Thank you for giving giving him / her new life  
through your death and resurrection, 
and making him / her part of  your family, the Church.  
We ask You to lead him / her forward now into a holy life 
filled with the joy of the Gospel. 
Make him / her to be a witness to everyone around him / her 
through his / her love. 
Strengthen all of us to teach, encourage, and support him / her, 
Remind all of us who are baptized  
of the great gift we have been given. 
In the name of Jesus Christ, 
who is the Way, the Truth, and the Life, 
Amen.
